La Reserve B&B Information for Persons with Disabilities

The following is to provide disabled persons information as to the B&B’s accessibility features in order for them to ascertain whether the B&B’s rooms, accommodations and space meet their disability needs.  Please refer to general property description for all other amenities.

Parking & Main Entrance

• La Reserve B&B located at 1804 & 1806 Pine Street in Philadelphia, PA is a historic property built in 1853 and as such is required to meet the cities historic preservation ordinances

• Pine Street is a public thoroughfare with no handicap parking.  The nearest public parking garage is three blocks away at Garage at 1740 South Street (between 17th and 18th streets)

• The entrance to both buildings is a single staircase that has 5 marble steps and a marble divider down the middle (each side is 62" wide) with handrails on the outside.  There are no ramps

• The front door of each building is 45.5" wide and has a touch key pads with code that is provided at check in.  The Foyer doors to the first floor hallways in both buildings are 35" wide

• The reservation/check-in desk is located in 1804 Pine St

Public Areas and General Attributes

• Neither building has an elevator

• All public rooms are located in 1804 Pine St. and have hardwood floors with area rugs

• Main Parlor – 50" wide doorway, cushioned and un-cushioned furniture

• Dining room - 31" wide doorway, 8 cushioned seat chairs and standard height table

• 1804 first floor hall 53" wide

• 1806 first floor hall 55" wide

• All rooms have hardwood floors with area rugs

• There are no individual telephones in any of the guest rooms

Guest Rooms 1804 Pine: 6 guest rooms

First Floor: accessed by 6 stairs / landing / 7 stairs, 33" wide.

• Grand Dame – 29" wide doorway, king size bed, 30.5" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom with 31" high pedestal sink and tub/shower with handrail

Second Floor: accessed by 5 additions stairs 33" wide and 49" Hallway. (2 Rooms)

• Shared Hall Bathroom – 33" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom with 31" high pedestal sink and shower with 23" wide door, no handrail

• Chateau – 34.5" wide doorway, queen size bed

• Marquis – 34.75" wide doorway, queen size bed

Third  Floor: accessed by 9 additions stairs, 33" wide

• Hunt – 32" wide doorway, king size bed, 32.5" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom with tub/shower & handrail.

Fourth Floor: accessed by 7 additions stairs 33" wide and 49" Hallway. (2 Rooms)

• Shared Hall Bathroom – 33" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom with 31" high pedestal sink and tub/shower with handrail.

• Heritage – 33" wide doorway, queen size bed

• Liberty – 33" wide doorway, queen size bed

Guest Rooms 1806 Pine: 4 suites and 2 studio rooms

Entry Level: no inside stairs (2 Rooms)

• Rittenhouse Suite – 40" wide doorway, 35" bedroom door, queen size bed, tiled floor kitchen, 34" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom, shower with 31" wide door, no handrail

• Saratoga Suite – 31.5" wide doorway, 32" bedroom door, queen size bed, additional pullout bed in living room, tiled floor kitchen, 28" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom, shower with 25" wide door, no handrail

First Floor: accessed by 13 stairs 32" wide and 54" Hallway

• Independence Studio – 27.5" wide doorway, queen size bed, tiled floor kitchen, 26" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom, shower with 21" wide door, no handrail

Second Floor: accessed by 5 additions stairs.

• Lafayette Suite – 31.5" wide doorway, 35.5" living room door, 29.5" bedroom door, queen size bed, tiled floor kitchen, 30" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom, shower with 31" wide door, no handrail

Third Floor: accessed by 9 additions stairs

• Penn Franklin Studio – 31.5" wide doorway, queen size bed, tiled floor kitchen, 26" wide doorway to tiled floor bathroom, shower with 25" wide door, no handrail.

Fourth Floor: accessed by 8 additions stairs
